Welcome to Calo

Pushing the boundaries of traditional Tempranillo, Calo was created by fifth generation Riojan winemaker Javier Marua specifically for restaurants with minimal oak and intensely flavoured fruit – a perfect by the glass wine. 

An expression of the Gypsy language from northern Spain, encapsulating the freedom Javier felt to create Calo, this joven style Tempranillo with just 10% oak influence is intended to be enjoyed in the full expression of its youth.
