El Payador Mendoza Malbec (6pk)
More about Payador Find a stockist Grape Variety: 100% Malbec Background: The Payada is a competitive composing and singing of verses native to Argentina, usually accompanied by guitar. The performer is called a Payador and in performance two or more payadores will compete to produce the most eloquent verse. Each answering questions posed by the other, often insulting. Summary: El Payador is a contemporary and fruit driven Argentinian Malbec created in partnership with third generation Mendoza winemaker Jorge Daniel Falasco. The Falasco family owns 3,000 hectares of vineyards in many of the prime locations, including vineyards in premier sub-region ‘La Consulta’ in the ‘Uco Valley’ which is 1,100 metres above sea level and offers a perfect micro-climate for producing fresh fruit driven wines Winemaking: Hand harvested before grape sorting, in vineyard and winery, and complete de-stemming. La Noblesse Cabernet Franc (6pk)
More about La Noblesse Find a stockist Grape Variety: Cabernet Franc
Region: Loire Valley Winemaker: Antoine Schurr Alcohol: 12.5% Closure: Screwcap
Summary: La Noblesse (the noble ones) is a homage to the legacy of the nobility in France and what could be more regal than the Loire? Famed for its opulent châteaux, it was literally the seat of kings as the French nobility employed the finest architects to create a renaissance wonderland. The Loire remains one of France’s most diverse and exciting regions for wine and captivates with its terroir- driven wines Winemaking: Totally de-stemmed before a long, cool maceration. Maturation is primarily in stainless steel with roughly one third undergoing carbonic maceration, aiding aromatics and fruit expression. A further third receives six-month maturation in French oak for greater complexity. 2021 Vintage: The red grape harvests finished at the end of October, in ideal conditions, yet coming later than the last vintages. 2021 displays red wines typical of the Loire valley for their fruit, freshness and versatility, with slightly lower than average yields. Tasting Note: Cabernet Franc is one of the historical varieties of the Loire Valley (along with Gamay) and is traditionally used to structure other wine varieties (particularly in Bordeaux) and bring more freshness into it. Our Cabernet Franc is surprisingly deep in colour yet still bright and clear. The nose is sweet and savoury with red ripe berries underpinned, by some green pepper nuances so typical of Cabernet Franc. Very fresh palate with an elegant fruit profile and soft tannins that add elegance and structure. Pair with barbecued lamb. The below information is available for stockists of this product. Summary: La Noblesse (the noble ones) is a homage to the legacy of the nobility in France and what could be more regal than the Loire? Famed for its opulent châteaux, it was literally the seat of kings as the French nobility employed the finest architects to create a renaissance wonderland. The Loire remains one of France’s most diverse and exciting regions for wine and captivates with its terroir- driven wines. Winemaking: Totally de-stemmed before a long, cool maceration. Maturation is primarily in stainless steel with roughly one third undergoing carbonic maceration, aiding aromatics and fruit expression. A further third receives six-month maturation in French oak for greater complexity. 2020 Vintage: Following a string of successful vintages in the Loire, 2020 was just as fortuitous. Luckily frost was avoided in the early part of the flowering season and September’s rains were well timed and well needed with a positive effect on all red grapes. Across the region, reds show a typical ‘Loire Valley’ style – supple, light and smooth with crisp scents of fresh fruit, and are a perfect complement to 2018’s rather more age-worthy wines. Tasting Note: The wine has a bright and brilliant red colour with light edges exhibiting attractive perfume of fresh berry fruits and sweet pepper. Elegant and round tannins ensure good structure and it finishes dry with a good balance between sweet and savoury fruit. A perfect wine for game dishes as well as fish and can benefit from a slight chill prior to serving. The below information is available for stockists of this product. Little Giant 'Little Batch' Barossa Valley Montepulciano (6pk)
More about Little Giant Find a stockist Grape Variety: 100% Monterpulciano
Montepulciano Region: Barossa Valley
Winemaker: Corey Ryan & Nicholas Crampton
Closure: Screwcap
Alcohol: 13.5%
Pack Size: 6 Bottle Pack
Summary: The southern hairy-nose wombat is smaller than other wombats but is stocky, robust and the proud state emblem of South Australia. Like the might of the little wombat, Little Giant is crafted from premium regional South Australian fruit from established vineyards that deliver character and interest well above their size and weight. Hand-crafted and made with minimal additions and preservatives, these are wines made of the vineyard. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, minimally handled in the winery and fruit vibrancy is not hidden by non-essential artifact. Seeking first and foremost fruit expression, drinkability and to be a great accompaniment to food. Don’t let the size fool you, these are wines you’ll want to drink. Winemaking: Single estate fruit was picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemmed and fermented in open top fermenters. The wine then spent six months in 10% new French oak barrels and the rest in older oak. This helped build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without overt extraction of oak characters Vintage 2024: The 2024 Barossa Valley vintage saw below-average winter and spring rainfall, with an early budburst in September. Frosts in September and October impacted yields in some vineyards, but timely November and December rains, along with cooler conditions, allowed the vines to recover and flourish. Most varieties were harvested before the end of March, with overall quality high despite variable yields. Tasting Note: We love to call this the Little Batch of ‘Monte’. Fabulously ripe and fragrant, the bouquet presents dark plum, raspberry, floral, and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that offers excellent weight and a plump mouthfeel. Splendidly structured by polished tannins, making it robust yet silky and flavoursome. The below information is available for stockists of this product.

Winemaking: Sourced from a vineyard on the Western Boundary of the Barossa Valley, famous for growing rich and well-structured wines. Matured for 4 months in 300 litre hogshead barrels before being blended and bottled. Vintage 2023: The 2023 vintage in the Barossa Valley was heavily influenced by La Niña, bringing an exceptionally wet spring with October rains followed by over 150mm in November, well above the average. This led to vigorous vine growth and large crops, resembling triffid-like canopies. A dry December provided some relief, but disease pressure required careful preventative sprays. Harvest extended unusually late, with some picking continuing into May—a rarity for the region. Tasting Note: The Little Giant Little Batch Barossa Cabernet Malbec is rich and full-bodied, showcasing vibrant aromas of dark berries, cassis and violet. Winemaking: The Grenache is a blend of two vineyards, one from Rowland Flat and the other from Vine Vale. Rowland Flat provides the structure, Vine Vale on sands provides the aromatics. The Tempranillo is sourced from Light Pass from a 25-year-old vineyard. All of the wine was matured in large oak barrels 500 litre capacity for 15 months prior to being blended and bottled. Vintage 2022: In 2022 the Barossa experienced outstanding growing conditions. Harvest started approximately 2 weeks later than the past 10 year average with Shiraz being picked mid to late March. A wet spring provided optimal soil moisture throughout the harvest months, spring storms resulted in lower than usual fruit set and although yields were lower the quality was high. Mild summer temperatures facilitated a long and slow ripening period which resulted in optimum colour development and balance between fruit flavour and tannin. Tasting Note: Fruit forward juicy grenache is complemented by the distinctive tannins of Tempranillo making for a very approachable blend. The two varieties work seamlessly together, the Grenache provides spice and aromatic lift, while the Tempranillo ensures savoury characters and textural complexity to the palate. Little Giant 'Mid-Strength' Barossa Shiraz (6pk)
More about Little Giant Find a stockist Grape Variety: Shiraz
Region: Barossa Valley
Winemaker: Corey Ryan
Closure: Screwcap Alcohol: 7% Pack Size: 6 Bottle Pack Summary: The southern hairy-nose wombat is smaller than other wombats but is stocky, robust and the proud state emblem of South Australia. Winemaking: Little Giant Shiraz is crafted from fruit sourced from select premium vineyards of both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemming and fermented in stainless steel tanks. A small component of the blend is cool distilled whilst another undergoes ultra-membrane filtration. With very gentle handling, these components are masterfully blending back into the original parcel of wine to arrive at a well-integrated, lighter finished ABV. The wine post fermentation & blending spends the following three months maturing in stainless steel and 25% in second-use oak before bottling. Vintage 2021: One of the best vintages in the last decade for the Barossa in 2021 with vignerons ecstatic with the quality of the fruit. Good rainfall over winter ensured the soil retained moisture over the early part of the growing season. A warm - but not ridiculously hot - Summer followed with dry conditions ensuring an even ripening all the way up to harvest. A vintage that will be celebrated in the region. Tasting Note: The Little Giant Shiraz continues to be the favourite in the Wombat family. The wine displays more elegance and lift than previous vintages though the cooler Eden Valley fruit adds aromatic lift, interest, and freshness. This is a contemporary Barossa Shiraz having spent maturation time in older oak adding subtle vanilla and chocolate nuances. There’s softness on the finish and with its moderate alcohol is perfect for the luncheon occasion to partner many red meat cuisines or a Sunday BBQ! The wine then spent nine months in used large format French and American oak barrels to build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without overt extraction of oak characters. 2023 Vintage: The winter and spring prior to the 2023 vintage was generally a little wetter and cooler than what is usual, delaying the start of vintage and meaning some extra care was required through the growing period. Whilst the vintage was indeed later than usual, there were some really beautiful parcels of fruit that benefited from being grown in sites where the slower ripening simply enabled flavour ripeness to be achieved with character & balance Tasting Note: The 2023 Little Giant is a modern take on Barossa Shiraz displaying elegance and freshness derived from the cool climate Eden Valley fruit components. Vintage 2021: The first of the consecutive La Nina seasons brought much welcomed rain over the winter and spring months, filling up dehydrated soil profiles after consequtive years of drought.
