Tread Softly Sangiovese (6pk)
More about Tread Softly Find a stockist Grape Variety: Sangiovese Summary: Tread Softly is a contemporary range of wines that are naturally medium in weight and lower in alcohol. Tread Softly is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint and chooses sustainable vineyard management and winemaking techniques to ensure its production has a minimal impact on the environment. For every case of Tread Softly sold, the brand proudly commits to planting an Australian native tree – to date, that is over 1.3 million trees. Vineyards: Sourced from established vineyards of the rich soils of the border of Victoria and South Australia. The vines are mostly dry-grown and utilise expert canopy management to help to control ripening and vigour. Winemaking: Harvested in the cool of the morning to avoid the warmer temperatures of the day. The fruit is quickly delivered to the winery for destemming and crushing prior to a regular fermentation in stainless steel tank. The wine is aerated and temp controlled for an even ferment and then spends 3 months in tank prior to bottling and an early release. Vintage 2022: 2022 will probably be remembered as wet in most parts of Australia. However, in inland vineyards the rain did not hinder, rather it helped vines stay healthy and created favourable conditions for a modest and favourable crop across much of the country. Overall, quality was up but yields were down. Tasting Note: A lighter bodied rendition of Sangiovese displaying dark cherries and a savoury dried herb complexity. The palate is juicy and soft ripe berry flavours with a hint of earthy intensity. As this wine is lighter in body it can handle a quick chill prior to serving. Perfect with a classic dish of penne and mushrooms. The below information is available for stockists of this product. Bottle Barcode: 9344154016427 Carton Barcode: 9344154016434

Tread Softly Tempranillo (6pk)
More about Tread Softly Find a stockist Grape Variety: Tempranillo
Summary: Tread Softly is a contemporary range of wines seeking to deliver delicious, intensely flavoured wines that are naturally medium weighted and moderate in alcohol. By using more sustainable vineyard management and wine-making techniques to ensure their production has had a minimal impact to the environment. Tread Softly is committed to reducing their carbon footprint and so commits to planting an Australian Native Tree for 6 bottles sold. Vineyards: Sourced from established vineyards of the rich soils of the border of Victoria and South Australia. The vines are mostly dry-grown and utilise expert canopy management to help to control ripening and vigour. Winemaking: Harvested in the morning to avoid the warm temperatures of the day. The fruit is quickly delivered to the winery for destemming and crushing. The wine ferments in stainless steel tanks and is gently pumped over twice daily to softly extract tannins and colour. The wine goes through malolactic fermentation (MLF) in tank and stays on MLF lees for an extra three months before bottling and early release. 2023 Vintage: The winter and spring prior to the 2023 vintage was generally a little wetter and cooler than what is usual, delaying the start of vintage and meaning some extra care was required through the growing period. Whilst the vintage was indeed later than usual, there were some beautiful parcels of fruit that benefited from being grown in sites where the slower ripening simply enabled flavour ripeness to be achieved with character & balance. Tasting Note: A vibrant and floral Tempranillo, aromas of violets and black currant combine with cassis and raspberry on the palate. A wine with elegant structure and lifted fruits, that finishes with a great intensity, vibrant acidity and length of flavour. Perfectly paired with Mushroom Risotto or venison.
