|
Sourced from vineyards on the North East of Verona, this is a wine that typifies the classic dry Italian white that we have come to love in this country. The wine Mandoleto is a homage to the local almond tree that grow in the steep vineyards and are known as the Mandorlo flower. This is a classic white that pairs well with seafood or antipasto.

More about Mandoleto Find a stockist Vineyards: Veneto Summary: Mandoleto is a collection of modern wines matched to the ideal Italian region, identified over thousands of years of trial and error. Mandoleto is named in honour of the Mandorlo (Almond) tree that grow alongside the vines on the steep hillsides. Each spring the Mandorlo flower, bringing a touch of beauty to the harsh landscape. Winemaking: Sourced from higher altitude vineyards north east of Verona. The fruit is later ripening and picked early in the morning to preserve natural acidity and freshness. The vinification is quick and precise with fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks before maturation on lees for three months to build depth of flavour. Tasting Note: Pale in colour with lifted notes of citrus, almonds, and ripe pear. The palate is elegant and vibrantly fresh with soft fruit flavours matched by cleansing acidity before a very long and satisfying, dry finish. A varietal and fresh Pinot Grigio that is perfect with pork dishes. The below information is available for stockists of this product.
