Winemaking: Grapes were crushed and de-stemmed then transferred to tank. Fermented over a ten day period with regular pumpovers to aid colour and tannin extraction from the skins. After being pressed the wine was transferred to oak for a minimum of 6 months.

Vintage 2024: South Australian regions experienced a very dry growing season for the 2024 vintage. Frost, the lack of rain and poor weather during flowering has resulted in lower yields, however, the dry and consistent weather during picking resulted in a vintage of high-quality fruit.

Tasting Note: A balanced and expressive Nebbiolo, bright tart cherry with exotic spice of sandalwood and cloves, tannins are sandy and fine. Fresh and full of bright character, whilst delivering power and intensity in an approachable way.

Winemaking: Single estate fruit was picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemmed and fermented in open top fermenters. The wine then spent six months in 10% new French oak barrels and the rest in older oak. This helped build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without overt extraction of oak characters

Vintage 2024: The 2024 Barossa Valley vintage saw below-average winter and spring rainfall, with an early budburst in September. Frosts in September and October impacted yields in some vineyards, but timely November and December rains, along with cooler conditions, allowed the vines to recover and flourish. Most varieties were harvested before the end of March, with overall quality high despite variable yields.

Tasting Note: We love to call this the Little Batch of ‘Monte’. Fabulously ripe and fragrant, the bouquet presents dark plum, raspberry, floral, and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that offers excellent weight and a plump mouthfeel. Winemaking: Sourced from a vineyard on the Western Boundary of the Barossa Valley, famous for growing rich and well-structured wines. Matured for 4 months in 300 litre hogshead barrels before being blended and bottled.

Vintage 2023: The 2023 vintage in the Barossa Valley was heavily influenced by La Niña, bringing an exceptionally wet spring with October rains followed by over 150mm in November, well above the average. This led to vigorous vine growth and large crops, resembling triffid-like canopies. A dry December provided some relief, but disease pressure required careful preventative sprays. Harvest extended unusually late, with some picking continuing into May—a rarity for the region.

Tasting Note: The Little Giant Little Batch Barossa Cabernet Malbec is rich and full-bodied, showcasing vibrant aromas of dark berries, cassis and violet. The palate delivers layers of blackcurrant, plum and chocolate, with hints of spice. Firm yet approachable tannins provide structure, leading to a long, smooth finish with impressive depth and balance.

Winemaking: The Grenache is a blend of two vineyards, one from Rowland Flat and the other from Vine Vale. Rowland Flat provides the structure, Vine Vale on sands provides the aromatics. The Tempranillo is sourced from Light Pass from a 25-year-old vineyard. All of the wine was matured in large oak barrels 500 litre capacity for 15 months prior to being blended and bottled.

Vintage 2022: In 2022 the Barossa experienced outstanding growing conditions. Harvest started approximately 2 weeks later than the past 10 year average with Shiraz being picked mid to late March. A wet spring provided optimal soil moisture throughout the harvest months, spring storms resulted in lower than usual fruit set and although yields were lower the quality was high. Mild summer temperatures facilitated a long and slow ripening period which resulted in optimum colour development and balance between fruit flavour and tannin.

Tasting Note: Fruit forward juicy grenache is complemented by the distinctive tannins of Tempranillo making for a very approachable blend. The two varieties work seamlessly together, the Grenache provides spice and aromatic lift, while the Tempranillo ensures savoury characters and textural complexity to the palate.

2023 Vintage: The winter and spring prior to the 2023 vintage was generally a little wetter and cooler than what is usual, delaying the start of vintage and meaning some extra care was required through the growing period. Whilst the vintage was indeed later than usual, there were some really beautiful parcels of fruit that benefited from being grown in sites where the slower ripening simply enabled flavour ripeness to be achieved with character & balance

Tasting Note: The 2023 Little Giant is a modern take on Barossa Shiraz displaying elegance and freshness derived from the cool climate Eden Valley fruit components. Blackberry and dark chocolate fill the glass with the wine’s maturation in older oak adding licks of vanilla and cedar. The finish is soft and vibrant with fine silky tannins. Pair with hearty dishes and red meats.

Vintage 2022: A La Nina season brought much welcomed rain over the winter months and continued in providing a mild spring and summer. The cooler than average weather during harvest resulted in a longer ripening period and facilitated an outstanding flavour and tannin balance and wines with balanced natural acidity.

Tasting Note: Dark in colour with aromas black cherry complemented by some hypnotic floral notes and hints of chocolate. Very intense black fruit palate with a spicy complexity and interesting dried herb nuances. There’s a depth and concentration on the finish that really highlights the purity of the fruit and making it unmistakably McLaren Vale in origin.

Winemaking: From premium vineyards in South Australia, grapes were hand picked then fermented with a small portion of whole bunch (about 5%) for complexity. The wine was then added to 600ltr barrels for maturation, a portion of which had seen 30% new oak the rest was consigned to old oak.

2025 Vintage: The 2025 vintage in South Australia was defined by an early, fast-paced harvest due to spring frosts, drought, and intense summer heat. Yields were down, but fruit quality was excellent, with concentrated flavours and natural acidity. Red wines show richness and depth, while whites maintain freshness and balance.

Winemaking: Fruit was destemmed and crushed to stainless steel fermenters where it un-went an extended maceration on skins to ensure colour. Each ferment was plunged and pumped over daily to extract flavour and tannin. The wine was then aged in a mix of stainless stell and old oak.

2025 Vintage: The 2025 vintage builds on the strength of 2024, confirming another standout year for Coonawarra. A dry winter and spring required early irrigation, but warm weather and timely rainfall reduced frost risk. An early, even flowering set the stage for high-quality fruit, resulting in wines of excellent concentration, balance, and regional character.
