Summary: Crafted for the conscious consumer, Tread Softly is certified sustainable, made with modern vineyard and water management techniques to minimise environmental impact. It is bottled in sustainable, lightweight glass and the wine styles are balanced, medium weighted and naturally lighter in alcohol. Since 2019, the brand has planted a tree for every case sold in efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and to date, has planted 2.6 million trees in the ‘Tread Softly Forest’ (and counting)….

Vineyards: Sourced from established vineyards of the rich soils of South Australia. The vines are mostly dry-grown and utilise expert canopy management to help to control ripening and vigour.

Winemaking: Harvested in the cool of the morning to avoid the warmer temperatures of the day.The fruit is quickly delivered to the winery for destemming and crushing prior to a regular fermentation in stainless steel tank. The wine is aerated and temp controlled for an even fermentation and then spends 3 months settling in tank prior to bottling and an early release.

2024 Vintage: A cooler than average growing season, frost, the lack of rain and poor weather during flowering, including strong winds throughout November and December resulted in lower yields however, the dry and consistent weather during picking resulted in a vintage of high-quality fruit.

Tasting Note: This Pinot brims with cherry, strawberry, and a touch of spice, offering a light yet lasting flavour profile. The gentle, integrated tannins add a subtle structure, while the crisp acidity leads to a fresh, clean finish. It's an excellent choice for brunch, especially with mushroom and Parmesan arancini.
