High quality, barrel matured wines from some of Australia's leading red wine regions, Crate offers exceptional value and a zero waste approach.

Winemaking: Premium Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from notable old vine Coonawarra vineyards. Grapes were crushed and de-stemmed then transferred to tank. Fermented over a ten day period with regular pumpovers to aid colour and tannin extraction from the skins. After being pressed the wine was transferred to oak for a minimum of 12 months.

Vintage 2021: An exceptional vintage with ideal growing conditions and outstanding quality fruit! A later start to the vintage due to a mild summer facilitating a longer ripening period and a lovely balance in red wines. Dry conditions through summer resulted in small berries and thick skins in reds. Intense aromatics and bold flavours are a characteristic of the 2021 Coonawarra vintage.

Tasting Note: Savoury aromatics unmistakably Cabernet Sauvignon hailing from Coonawarra Region. Aromas of dusty oak, black currant and cassis. The palate is rich with black forest fruits, blackberry and dark chocolate tannins. A hint of dried herbs and grippy tannins compliment the fruit and make you want to come back for more! Premium regional fruit packed in a cleanskin! Best served with a cheeseboard and good company.
