Take it to the Grave Grenache 2019

"Hopefully not a literal meaning in these days of isolation. Anyway, the box that this wine came in has been used as a puppy barrier for the past couple of weeks, to stop the daft animal from bounding up the stairs to the first floor, which I called the second floor when I moved in, so all the furniture went one level up again… It’s a good wine, and good value with it. Raspberry, spice, a floral and dried herb perfume, dried beef. Fruity, but shows some restraint, powdery tannin, moderate acidity, flesh and flavour on a moderate finish, slightly briny in the aftertaste. Rock solid SA red."
