Woods Crampton Frances and Nicole Shiraz 2017

8th May 2020
Firm and lingering... 95 Points

"Fruit from a low-yielding, dry-grown vineyard, aged in French oak (50% new) for 18 months. The wine seems to have absorbed every minute of that time in oak, but the quality of the fruit has come through heroically despite that. It’s rich (but not too ripe) with dark berry aromas and flavours, the texture quite velvety, the tannin supple but firm and lingering in the aftertaste. SC 14.7% alc."
