Elephant in the Room Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

9th June 2020
Drink it with spaghetti bolognese... 4.5 Stars

"Coronavirus is a mammoth global elephant in the room, but here's a welcome one from the Newcastle-based Fourth Wave Wines operation, which has built up a diverse portfolio of imports from New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain and Argentina and wines from family-owned vineyards. This quaffable cabernet sauvignon is from South Australian Limestone Coast Mount Bension region grapes and has 14 per cent alcohol, bright garnet hues and potpourri scents. Big juicy blackcurrant flavour shows on the front palate and Maraschino cherry, dark chocolate, spice and savoury oak on the middle palate. Minto tannins play at the finish. Cellar for two years and drink it with spaghetti bolognese. Get it at BWS and Dan Murphy's stores and fourthwavewine.com.au."
