Woods Crampton Phillip Patrick Shiraz 2018

A wine of huge scale and long-term potential... 96 Points

"Super heavy bottle and cork sealed. 70% new 500 litre French oak. 375 bottles produced.
So intense. Lashings of spicy creamy oak over sweet blue and black fruit, a shale-like grip to the tannin, dried roses, mint and sage, density and depth, some black olive, coffee cream and truffle in there, a lot of oak, and a lot of fruit power. It’s a wine of huge scale and long-term potential. Drinking it now is probably foolish."
