“This is solid to rather good Coonawarra cabernet on a dime. The chassis of cassis, verdant herb, sage, pencil shavings et al. is to type. Cabernet 101, if you will. Yet what makes it particularly appealing is the tannin management. However it is achieved - and at this tier I don't particularly care - the result is moreish, savoury, just green enough and the platform for eminent drinkability.”
