"Sometimes the name of a wine just feels right – and this wine definitely feels like a Pedro – friendly, casual and easy to like.

To start the wine is Preservative Free, so it is made to enjoy young. But unlike some Preservative Free Wines, it has plenty of character and flavour. It is chock-a-block full of gluggable berry fruits – mulberry, plum and dark cherry but there is also an attractive savoury edge of licorice, leather and spice. It is dry and mid-weight – not a traditional big and bold Australian grenache style – but more like a French Cotes du Rhone that is fleshy and generous with supple tannins to finish. This is one Pedro worth tracking down."
