La Noblesse Gamay 2019
12th November 2020

"I can’t imagine the amount of fuss it would take to get dressed back in the day, if you were a bit of a dandy. I pretty much wear the same clothes (well, multiple items thereof) every day. Diesel jeans, AS Colour T-Shirts (dark blue for day, black for evening wear), Converse shoes. On hot days swapping out jeans for Okanuis. Makes life so simple. One less thing to think about.
Anyway, Gamay from the Loire here, which can be nice. Importer: Fourth Wave Wine. Dark red fruits, dried herb, slight aniseed, some meaty character. It’s medium-bodied, dry, firm and a little bit chewy, even a little ‘mineral’ feel, a whisper of leafy green stuff with some red jubey flavour to go, some pepper and Spanish black olive in the aftertaste. Not sweet or cynical. Drinks well."
