Mania Pinot Noir 2019

"A quite impressive medium to deep purple/red colour. The bouquet is loaded with ripe cherry, raspberry and plum aromas, fruit to the fore, with just a suggestion of smoky-oak (?) hovering in the background. The palate is intense and medium to full-bodied, with excellent texture and structure, which involves both extract and grip. Soft, ripe tannins, good density and drive. Yes, it is smoky to sniff, but not to taste. A very good pinot indeed. And great value. (From Huon, Tamar and East Coast vineyards. A variety of clones. 10% new oak)."
