Tread Softly Yarra Valley Rose 2020

"Nice concept behind the Tread Softy wines – light, bistro, easy drinking wines made for casual enjoyment that are also easy on the environment. But that does not mean every effort is not made to make delicious wines and it shows.
Really interesting wine here and no mention of the grape varieties but who cares. It is a pretty pale peach skin pink, and gently aromatic. Imagine walking through an orchard eating a punnet of strawberries, and you are almost there. Heady pear, strawberry, spice and rose petals too. It is a bit more serious on the palate – quite mouthfilling and textural, do I taste some pinot gris here? Silky acidity and nashi pear fruits blend well and offer plenty of interest. A super food wine for fusion cooking – I am thinking tandoori chicken wraps."
