Plus & Minus Blanc de Blancs NV

"The creative team at Fourth Wave Wine launched their first wines in the Plus & Minus Zero Alcohol range a little over 12 months ago. Since then they’ve introduced sparkling wines, rosé and whites into the range. The wines are “hand-made without the use of any artificial sweeteners, but the “addition of grape skin extract (GSE) during the winemaking process” goes some way to building the body and palate once the wine has had the alcohol removed. This BdB a blend of Chardonnay, Semillon, Colombard from various South Australian vineyards. Under cork. Winemaker is is Corey Ryan.

Pale lemon in colour with tight beading. Well it smells just like a decent BdB: Green apple skin, short crust pastry, lemon/lime citrus, easy wheatgerm and fresh hay bale. Party starter style with the apple and lemon drive over a soft mousse. Creamy yoghurt and lemon curd finish thanks to a more than a little RS. Neat acid kick through the tail, but the flavour drops away quickly. Tastes like its components, rather than sparkling grape juice."
