Take it to the Grave Pinot Noir 2021
21st January 2022
"The search for bargain Pinot Noir is generally full of disappointments as this is a grape variety that does not respond well to the wrong climate or high yielding vines. But occasionally a well-priced, midweek Pinot pops up and hits the spot. For this one you can thank the 2021 vintage which has delivered on every level. Bright light cherry red in colour and immediately attractive thanks to enticing aromas of raspberry, strawberries and cream with an overlay of gentle spice. It is then dry and fleshy, chock full of red berries with a peppermint edge on a silky, supple palate with a fine, although quite long finish. It could do with a touch more acidity but is still delicious nonetheless."
