Vina Muriel Rioja Reserva 2011
9th March 2017

"Traditional Rioja almost always leaves me scratching my head. That said, the appeal of this release is easy to see. Rich dark fruit, plenty of roasted spices, fine tannin, earth and an miracle mix of primary and secondary flavour. It’s both fresh with fruit and leathery at once. The dominating overlay of toasty, charry, chocolatey flavour either adds to the impression, or detracts, depending on your view/taste."
