Condes De Los Andes Tempranillo 2013
30th August 2017
"Straight tempranillo Riojas are increasingly common. This one tends towards the more powerful end of the style spectrum, its colour deep red tinted with purple and the bouquet is smokey, meaty, plummy and spicey. There are coconut and vanilla overtones from oak, traditional in Riojas. It's a big, emphatic wine with very ripe fruit aromas and a palate loaded with owdery tannins contributing to a dry finish. It has length and should age well. Drink now to around 2028."
