Woods Crampton Sleeping Dogs Red Blend 2017
6th December 2017
"...a blend of Bonvedro, Mataro and Graciano with a bit of whole bunch. Woods Crampton ever reliable at turning out interesting and stylish wines at affordable prices. Now there’s a soundbite! They love that shit.
It’s kind of beefy and floral at once, with a bit of spice, darker fruit, and clod earth. It’s medium bodied, delivers flavour, some of it fruity and juicy, but it’s largely nutty and spicy. Tannin is quiet, acidity well settled, and there’s definitely a Spanish vibe going on here. Good finish too. If you want something that’s a little different, but won’t scare the horses (or dogs), here’s a good bet. Very tasty."
