Drake Heathcote Shiraz 2016

"Shiraz grown on 30-year-old vines in the Heathcote region. French oak but only a smidgen of it. It’s medium weight but the ripeness is just-so and it finishes full of running. Alpine herbs and black cherry, hearty plum and a wash of boysenberry. Mint, but such a low level of it. It feels velvety, it feels fruit-driven, it feels measured and in short, it feels just right. Ready to go now."
