Elephant in the Room Stupendous Shiraz 2016

It's played to perfection...

"It’s a major hit in the real world of retail wine sales. It’s from Langhorne Creek, it calls itself a big wine with lots of oak... Sweet blackberry and plum, a floral lift, clean-as-a-whistle presentation of fruit flavour, and a general softness to the mouthfeel. Said softness may indeed have been aided by oak but there’s not a great deal of oak flavour, save for a gentle resiny character. In all though you’d have to say that it’s played to perfection in mouthfeel terms, flavour terms, and marketing terms."
