"Estate-grown at a high-altitude site at Bendigo, in the Cromwell Basin, the impressive 2016 vintage (5*) was matured for a year in French oak barriques (25 per cent new). Deep ruby, with a fragrant, spicy, savoury bouquet, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with concentrated, vibrant cherry, plum and spice flavours, revealing excellent complexity, and good tannin support. A lovely young red, approachable now, it should be at its best 2021+."
