Woods Crampton Black Label Riesling 2019
16th January 2020
"Black Label, named for Nic Crampton’s favourite magazine in his teenage years.
Lemon verbena, fennel, vanilla, lime and spice. It’s soft and flavoursome, a juicy lime and lemon barley richness, with balanced acidity, a light dusting of chalky texture, and a cool dry finish of good length. There’s a minor amount of petrol emerging already, which is something to be mindful of, depending on personal taste, but there’s no denying the enjoyment and approachabilty it offers at present. Immediacy and charm. Good."
