Winemaking: Partially hand harvested before de-stemming primarily in closed fermenters with pump overs twice daily. Pressed and matured in French oak for six months before bottling with minimal fining, filtration and sulphur addition.

Vintage 2022: The 2022 vintage in the Central Ranges was cooler than average and approximately 2 weeks later than the usual harvest periods. This facilitated a long and slow ripening period resulting in red wines with great flavour and aromatic vibrance as well as a fine acid and tannin balance! A characteristic of the 2022 season is beautifully perfumed reds with full flavours.

Tasting Note: A delicious organic Cabernet that tastes as mother nature intended. There’s a freshness and purity of vibrant black forest fruits, hints of chocolate and unmistakably Cabernet aromas of fresh herbs. The palate is smooth and bursting with blackcurrant and blackberry flavours, classic grippy tannins frame the fruit and make for a drink now style that will also cellar well. Pair with some lamb ribs.

Winemaking: Hand picked into small bins and chilled before processing in the winery, A steady vinification with a cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Six months maturation on lees to build texture and complexity before minimal filtration and bottling. 

Vintage 2023: Early cool weather and some rain early spring has set the region up well for the warmer than usual period running up to harvest time. The wines show terrific colour and phenolic ripeness and a fine natural acidity delivered in 2023.  

Tasting Note: Freshly bottled and bursting with elegant strawberries and cream aromatics, this is everything you want from a pale and dry style of Rosé. It's brightly fruited with flavours of blood orange, pink grapefruit and fresh picked mulberries. Best served in good company, poolside with a cheese board.
